3.0 out of 5 stars Migraine sufferers might want to give it a try...., June 24, 2010
This review is from: HD Vision Sunglasses, Ultra (Eyewear)
I didn't pay $15 or $20 so that was a huge factor in this review. I paid about $8 at Bed Bath and Beyond (was $10 but I had a coupon).

For what I paid, it's sort of what I expected. The plastic is thin and the feel is cheap. It almost feels fragile in your hands when you are flipping the arms open. This wasn't really a bad point for me because I'm not usually rough with my glasses and always have some sort of case handy. I actually thought it was nice that these glasses were lighter than most. I was also drawn to these glasses because they looked sleeker and more stylish than some other ones I've seen. Not too trendy, not too old fashioned.

The lenses looked decent. The front of the lenses are a deep amber yellow color and the flip side of the lenses have a pretty neat purplish/blue metallic coating on them. The lenses actually look well made..and if it weren't for the cheap frame, it could pass for an expensive pair. Also no one has mentioned yet but the... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent sunglasses for a decent price, May 12, 2010
This review is from: HD Vision Sunglasses, Ultra (Eyewear)
I'll be honest... these are cheaply made sunglasses. That being said, they do what you want sunglasses to do and that is to reduce the bright light so you can see. I drive for a living in a high action type job and tend to go through sunglasses quickly. I either sit on them or they fall on the asphalt and get smashed. Because of this I try to never pay more than $15 for a pair of sunglasses. If it makes you feel better to pay $100 for sunglasses, or if you just don't like the styling, then buy all means by something else. If you want a good inexpensive pair of sunglasses then these will work just fine.

3.0 out of 5 stars They do work..., April 8, 2010
This review is from: HD Vision Sunglasses, Ultra (Eyewear)
The virtue of these glasses is that they effectively attenuate the blue (and ultraviolet!) part of the visible spectrum. When you put them on things don't get darker, as with traditional sunglasses, but the sensitivity of your eyes to the 'glare component' of what you see is remarkably reduced. Just get over the supposed need to have things darker and enjoy the feeling of having your eyes relax while keeping the scene bright and clear. These also seem to help night vision as well.
